Whether you have used manifestation and meditation or not you must have heard of the Law of Attraction and Repulsion.

Or are you just hearing the two terminologies for the first time?

Don’t worry.

In this article, you’re going to understand what is the law of attraction and repulsion.

Basically, to attract is to pull something to your side while repulse is to push something away.

The idea behind the Law of Attraction and the Law of Repulsion is that all are forces of energy with different frequencies.

The reality is that every person can change the frequency of the energy flowing inside or outside their minds by monitoring their thoughts and working to keep them positive.

The two laws are founded on the basis that if you think positively all the time, you attract good things, situations, people, etc.

Experts believe that people can use the two laws to manifest anything they want such as relationship, love, job, money, good health, etc.

Read on to understand the two terminologies (the Law of Attraction and Repulsion) even better.

What Is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction is perhaps one of the mysteries that experts are yet to unravel.

The law states that positive actions, thoughts, imaginations attract positive results into a person’s life whereas negative thoughts attract negative results.

The Law of Attraction is based on the belief that thoughts are a form of energy and that emitting positive energy to the universe attracts one’s desires.

Even though the law of attraction has generated attention recently, a few people have used it and achieved hugely with it. There is still no scientific research to back it up as well.

Learning how the Law of Attraction works and how to apply it is important for everyone.

The Law of Attraction Universal Principles

Proponents (people who believe in it) of the Law of Attraction suggest that it is made up of the following universal principles:

  • Like attracts like: In other words, positive thoughts attract positive results, while negative thoughts attract negative results.

If you keep on thinking that you cannot succeed in life, you will always attract failure.

As humans, we always attract people who are similar to us.

  • Nature hates a vacuum: The Law of Attraction also suggests that if you remove negative thoughts in your life, you will create a space for more positive results to take up the space left.

According to the Law of Attraction, your mind and life don’t have a space at all times. If it’s not filled with positive thoughts then it’s full of negative thoughts so you must work on emptying the negativity so that positivity can get a space.

  • The present moment is always perfect: The Law of Attraction also suggests that you can always improve the present moment.

Even if things aren’t working as you had desired, this law suggests that instead of feeling unhappy or defeated, you should focus your energy on find ways to improve the situation.

How the Law of Attraction Works

The Law of Attraction proponents suggests that everything that happens in your current life from the job you have to the partner you attract and the success you achieve is a result of your own thoughts.

If you examine carefully, you will notice that there is a correlation between your thoughts and what happens in your life in reality. This is what experts call manifesting.

The Universe responds to you depending on the thoughts you send to it.

The idea is that when you focus all your thoughts, energy, and abilities on something, you send a vibrational pull that attracts it toward you.

Assuming you wanted to attract a lover, when you focus all your thoughts and efforts on the person you want, the Law of Attraction will respond by sending the person your way.

How to Practice the Law of Attraction

As stated above, the Law of Attraction states that you attract into your life what you focus on.

If you believe that you will succeed in what you’re working on, it will happen as you wish.

To use the Law of Attraction effectively, you must incorporate the following:

  • Be grateful- Appreciate what you already have.
  • Visualize your goals- Sit back and relax then assume yourself having achieved your goals. Think about how you’d feel having that beautiful wife, or acquire your dream car.
  • Focus on the positive side of every situation, happenings, or instance.
  • Learn how to differentiate negativity from positivity.
  • Use positive affirmations.

Note that the Law of Attraction might not shape your life the way you want. In other words, it might not be the ultimate solution to your life’s challenges. However, it might help you realize the positivity in every situation.

The Law of Repulsion

The Law of Repulsion is the counter fore of the Law of Attraction. Repulsion is simply the opposite of attraction.

To understand the Law of Repulsion better, let’s look at a few common scenarios.

Assuming you had taken a stroll around town and felt hungry, you might get into a store and check on the food on sale.

You probably would be looking for a specific meal. That means that if presented with the menu, you will single out several menus without even looking at them twice.

Whether these meals lack your taste, or you’re allergic to them, they are the meals you’re repelling without giving a second thought.

That’s the Law of Repulsion at work.

The same law would work if you were to attend an event.

During a networking event, there will be a group or calibre of people you will feel attracted to and others that, due to some reasons, you find not being attracted to without consciously being aware of it.

Final Thoughts

In summary, the Law of Attraction suggests that your thoughts attract specific things, situations, and circumstances into your life. On the other hand, the Law of Repulsion proposes that the more you think negativity or things you don’t want, the more you attract what you don’t want.
